Webcam Access
For an additional €1 per day you will be given access to connect to the webcam in your cats room. This will enable you to check up on your cats during their stay.
This is available in our Standard and Family rooms downstairs only. There are no webcams in our Loft rooms.
Below is a sample snapshot from one of our webcams to give you an idea of what you will see. One tip if you wish to avail of this service is to bring light coloured bedding if you have a dark coloured cat and darker coloured bedding if you have a white cat. The contrast in colour between your cat and the bedding will make them easier for you to see on camera 🙂

Does your cat have any Medical Needs?
We will need advance notice if your cat has a medical requirement or physical disability. Please inform us of these at booking time.
How to Make a Booking
You can contact us by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or using our contact form. You’ll find our contact details in the footer of this page.
What to bring for your cats stay
To ensure your cats do not suffer any digestive upset during their stay we ask that you bring a supply of food from home, complete with instructions on how much and how regularly your cats are fed. We will follow your instructions so your cats are fed just like at home. This will help your cats settle in and have a more enjoyable stay with us.
Cats often like to sleep in a particular bed/chair so it is good to bring their favourite bed/blanket from home. We’ll add this into their room to help comfort and relax your cats.
Here’s a checklist of items to bring to the Cat Lodge:
- Your own photo ID, such as drivers license, as proof of identity
- Your cats vaccination card stamped by your vet showing all required vaccinations are up to date
- Enough food measured for the length of your cats stay plus a few days in case you experience any travel delay on your return
- Something for your cat to sleep on that smells of home, like bedding or blankets or some old towels or clothing. If you wish you can also bring any toys or scratch posts you cat uses at home. We find it helps the cats to settle in if their room smells a bit like home and also to find their way back to their room after they’ve been out in the Living Room or Garden Room areas.
Dropping off your cat
Check-in and check-out times are by appointment only. We ask that you arrange these appointments at booking time and confirm them 48 hours in advance of check-in. This allows us to work these appointments into the Cat Lodge’s daily schedule and minimise disruption of the other guests.
On arrival at the Cat Lodge you can park beside our drop-off bench where you can unload all your cats belongings. All guests must be carried from your vehicle into the Cat Lodge in a secure cat carrier/transport box or on a secure harness and lead for their own safety.
Access to the Living Room
Guests, at their owners discretion, may be given supervised access to our Living Room. This space is designed just like your living room at home – TV, wood burning stove, comfy furniture, interesting window sills to sit on on a rainy day. It gives our guests a chance to stretch their legs, play and socialise with other cats and/or us humans depending on their preferences. The Living Room opens out onto the Garden Rooms.
The Living Room cannot be accessed from our Loft rooms. The Loft has it’s own Play Room with TV, comfy chair and scratch tree.
What is a Garden Room?
Guests, at their owners discretion, may be given supervised access to one of our Garden Rooms. These spaces give our guests a chance to get out of their room, socialise and exercise in a supervised space. The Garden Rooms are fully enclosed outdoor decked areas where the cat guests can breathe in the fresh Burren air, surrounded by landscaped gardens attracting birds, butterflies and bees.
This is available to guests staying in our Standard and Family rooms downstairs only. There is no Garden Room access from our Loft rooms.
Who will be taking care of your cats during their stay?
We are a family run business so it will be just the two of us, Sandra & Axel that you’ll meet at drop-off and pick-up. We don’t have any additional staff. All maintenance, cleaning and care is provided by us only. We don’t go to other jobs during the day plus the Cat Lodge is located on site at our home so we really are available throughtout the day/night to take care of all your cats needs.
